Police may have a break in a series of pipeline bombings in northeast B.C., where six blasts have hit EnCana sites since the fall of 2008.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Darren Traichevich says DNA has been found on a letter sent by the alleged bomber to a newspaper in Dawson Creek in April.
He won't say if police know who the DNA belongs to but adds the investigation is continuing.
Earlier this year, some people in the area around the bombings complained that Mounties were pressing them to provide DNA and fingerprint samples.
The bombings targeting EnCana pipelines and wells in northeast B.C., began in October of 2008, but no one has been hurt in any of the explosions.
Investigators have linked the bombings with several threatening letters sent to local media demanding EnCana pull out of the region.
