CBC Radio One tops Vancouver ratings

CBC Radio One in Vancouver has has beaten CKNW to the top of the ratings, according to the latest BBM Canada report.

In the first quarter of 2009, CBU on Radio One got 11 percent of the AM audience. (Scroll down to the Top-Line Radio Statistics - Vancouver page for the details.)

CKNW, long the top AM station, came in at 10.1 percent. No other station gained a double-digit rating.

The numbers also showed a dramatic change from the last quarter of 2008, when CKNW was the top station with 12.4 percent, and CBU was at just 9.9 percent.

In the first quarter of 2008, CBU had a 10.7 percent share of the Vancouver radio audience, compared with CKNW's 10.9. For the rest of 2008, CKNW had been comfortably ahead of CBU.
