VANCOUVER - The board of the B.C. Conservatives says it has settled internal infighting by expelling several members from the party.
The party says it has mailed out 15 disciplinary letters, including both terminations of members and letters of censure, to those who have made public calls for a leadership review.
The party says in its news release the demand for the review of leader John Cummins is in clear violation of its bylaws.
The board also passed two other motions, one of which creates what it has dubbed a unity committee.
Cummins says the party recognizes there are things that can be done to improve the Tories' internal processes and the committee will look for ways to engage its members.
Just hours after Conservative members voted to support Cummins last month, the party's only sitting MLA, John van Dongen, quit because he said he couldn't work with the leader.
