B.C. to review how non-profits and charities are selected for gaming grant cash

VANCOUVER - The B.C. government has announced a review of community gaming grants.

Premier Christy Clark says it will be led by former Kwantlen Polytechnic University president Skip Triplett.

In announcing the review, Clark says it will help create certainty and sustainability for non-profit groups and charities that provide vital services across B.C.

The review will examine the government's role in handing out gaming revenue.

It will also consider funding formulas, eligibility requirements and the process involved in applying for grants.

A final report is due by Oct. 31.
