BC teachers re-launch video campaign ads

The B.C. Teachers' Federation has re-launched its "When Will They Learn?" video ad campaign. The move comes after last week's court decision striking down some parts of Bill 42.

In a news release announcing the return of the ads, BCTF President Irene Lanzinger said:

"The Campbell government was trying to silence teachers and prevent them from speaking out about public education. Now, more than ever, teachers need to be speaking out and informing the public about the state of learning conditions for our students.

"The government's latest budget froze education funding for 34 school districts across BC, even though fixed costs keep rising. The budget also ignored ongoing concerns about class size and support for children with special needs."

The ads, which will run for the first two weeks of April, are available for viewing at the BCTF's When Will They Learn? page.
