Less than 45 minutes after the polls closed, CBC TV reported that the Liberals appeared to be beating the NDP. To be fair, both the network's political guests, Geoff Meggs and Martin Brown, reminded viewers that it was still extremely early to suggest a trend.
Good thing too, as Elections BC noted at 8:48 p.m. that only 133,053 votes had been counted with only 1,333 of 11,331 ballot boxes reported.
