Kate Braid is the author of several books of poetry and creative non-fiction, including two memoirs and three books of poetry about her 15 years working as a carpenter.
Braid’s awards include the Remarkable Woman of the Arts and Pandora’s Collective BC Writer Mentor Award in Vancouver, and for poetry, the Pat Lowther Memorial Award and Vancity Book Prize. She has also been writer-in-residence at Mabel Dodge Luhan House in Taos, New Mexico.
She currently lives on Pender Island and in Victoria, B.C.
