Tyee Poll: Where Should We Dig Before the BC Election?

We know, we know, everyone’s sick of hearing about elections right now. Even though it’s over six months away, the team at The Tyee is already getting started on some special reporting projects in the lead-up to the B.C. election in May 2017.

We’re calling it B.C. in the Balance: The Voter’s Deep Guide to the 2017 Election. We’ve got some idea where we want to direct our attention, but first, we want to check in with you, Tyee reader.

Which topic is highest on your priority list in the lead-up to the 2017 B.C. election? We’ve listed some initial topic ideas below, but we’re also interested in receiving ideas that aren’t on this list. If you have something in mind, put it in the ‘other’ field.

Long-form, well-researched articles take a lot of time and resources, so in addition to asking for your opinion, we’re also asking Tyee readers to fund this extra reporting.

Once the crowdfunding campaign is over, we’ll compile a list of the most compelling ideas and highest voted topics from this poll and send them to everyone who gave during the campaign with an opportunity to rank the issues and inform our reporting priorities.

Please note that Tyee Barometer polls are only intended as a quick and engaging non-scientific snapshot of our readers' opinions on various topics that fit with The Tyee's very broad editorial mandate. They are not intended to be seen as a representative sampling of BC opinion.
