So, I guess you've noticed The Tyee looks a little different.
There are some new features and ways to interact. We think they're nice, and we'd like you to get to know them.
We've thrown together a fast and fun way to explore the changes. And did we mention the prizes?!
We win, you win. We're calling it a rally, because you have to cruise through the site looking for things, and then prove you've done it. It's easy... so get rolling!
Here's how it works:
Complete ANY of the three ‘levels’ to win the associated prizes. Or complete them all, and increase your chances. To get started, pick the link below that applies to you.
A. You're already registered to comment on stories. That means you have a user account on Tyee, which now allows you to also rate our stories. Start the contest here.
B. You're NOT yet a commenter. To sign up for a free user account and start the contest, click here.
The rest is explained in the online form that guides you through the easy steps.
Alright... off to the races!
The prizes, once more:
Level one: 10 randomly drawn people will win a Tyee swag pack (t-shirt, bag, buttons & more)
Level two: Five randomly drawn winners will each get one pound of Saltspring Coffee and a new title from New Society Publishers EVERY MONTH for a year.
Level three:
A. One randomly drawn Flickr group participant will win a $400 gift certificate to Lens & Shutter.
B. Our talented judges will go through all submissions to the Tyee Flickr Pool -- tagged with "rally09" -- and pick the top three photographers. These photographers will be published in a special Tyee photo essay with strong promotion throughout our site.
Thanks in advance to our three photo contest judges: Chris Grabowski, Dina Goldstein, and The Blackbird.
- A Quick Copywright Note: By posting your photos in our Flickr pool, you allow us to potentially display them on our Tyee homepage or as the art that accompanies our stories. If we do so, we will credit your work by linking directly back to your Flickr account. Where possible, we will endeavor to use your real name. If you'd like us to also link to a website or if you'd like us to attribute the picture differently, just drop us a line at [email protected].
