If you read The Tyee, you’ll know how much we appreciate a good creature feature.
Over the years, we’re published so many wonderful stories about animals, from the resilient Anna’s hummingbird, to the majestic blue heron.
We’ve covered everything from hungry orcas to horny frogs. Kidnapped bird babies, and dogs with jobs. Beloved backyard birds and divisive feral island sheep. And, of course, the quintessential, enduring salmon.
We’re endlessly fascinated by the world of creatures big and small, the ways they’ve developed in nature, and how they co-exist alongside humans. And we know that on this beautiful planet we call home, there’s always many more creatures to learn about that are unique to our readers’ various backyards.
With all this in mind, we want to ask:
What’s your favourite local critter?
