You know you're in trouble when satire bothers people because they don't get it. Last summer, The New Yorker caused an uproar with a cover that portrayed right-wing myths about Barack Obama.
By the same token, "C'Mon, Move to Canada!" isn't poking fun at the US liberal elite -- it's poking fun at the Joe Sixpacks and Palinists who think such an elite exists.
Of course, if McCain does win, some Americans really will want to move here. They'll have to go to the end of the line of our million-strong immigration backlog.
