People using taxpayer funded tickets to the men's gold medal hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Victoria included Premier Gordon Campbell, music producer David Foster and television personality Vicki Gabreau.
The details were included in a 216-page report released today on how provincial government tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic games were used. The report does not include tickets paid for by Crown corporations.
Other attendees at the gold medal game, where Canada beat the United States, included former ICBC chair Rick Turner and former deputy minister to the premier Ken Dobell, who both attended as part of the VANOC board.
The government spent $970,675 on 3,750 tickets. VANOC gave the province another 910 tickets.
Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations, Naomi Yamamoto, was the biggest user of government tickets, attending 11 events at a total cost of $3,648.
Small Business and Technology minister Iain Back attended nine events at a total cost of $3,496.
