"What happens when you combine one artist, one organizer, 1,500 square feet of cardboard, two cans of paint, four paint rollers, an army of volunteers, and one BIG idea? The Überdrop. You get... the Überdrop."
So says a group of people planning a big demonstration in Vancouver on Friday, Jan. 18.
They plan to meet at 11:30 a.m. at Burrard and Nelson, the site of where the Enbridge Joint Review Panel hearings are taking place, and invite the public to participate in the creation of the Überdrop. It's all part of a larger movement to draw attention to the use of water and land in "unsustainable development projects." Sounds like beautiful trouble to us.
