There are few things as useful and valuable as writing.
Writing helps us think in real time and lets us keep records of events and thoughts worth remembering.
By writing things down, we’re able to share reflections and meditations with others and communicate better what is going on, even in unknowable parts of our minds.
Whether it’s memoir, fiction, poetry; letters addressed to a dear friend; submissions to journals and magazines; or notes for yourself in your journal; writing has the potential to inform, foster empathy and extend memory. It’s also all kinds of fun.
With this in mind, we want to ask:
What kind of writing do you do in your spare time?
