Terri Cardinal

Terri Cardinal (she/her) is from Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6 territory. She recently completed a one-year contract working as the Indian residential school co-ordinator with Blue Quills University. She has since returned to MacEwan University, where she is director of Indigenous initiatives.

Cardinal holds a clinical master of social work specializing in trauma. She is pursuing her PhD in social work with the University of Calgary. Her research and passion lie in the areas of ceremony as healing, traditional practices of grief and loss, and Indigenous social work and identity.

Cardinal co-hosts the 2 Crees in a Pod podcast with Amber Dion. The two colleagues deliver trauma-informed practice and “Indigenous love” workshops for front-line workers across Canada.
