Sarah Amy Leung

Sarah Amy Leung is a queer, disabled writer with cerebral palsy. She loves unravelling the stories of communities — a love she discovered while taking anthropology electives at Langara College — which eventually led her to journalism. She got her first taste of local reporting with the student newspaper the Langara Voice, where she reported on the lack of LGBTQ2S+ representation on Coquitlam advisory committees.

Outside of local news reporting, Sarah indulges in her hobbies. These include creative writing, video games and K-Pop. Her work has been featured in publications like What’s on Queer BC and the U.S.-based K-pop magazine, the Kraze. You can find her at @sarahamyleung on Twitter and Instagram.
