Stephanie Bogue Kerr is a writer, social worker and researcher. She has a PhD in social work from the University of Ottawa, as well as master’s degrees in social work and creative arts therapies. Her writing and research focus on social issues in physical and mental health, as well as arts and sports-based approaches to social work. Her academic work on these questions is published in scholarly journals.
Bogue Kerr has lived and worked across Canada, flipping back and forth between English and French wherever she goes. These experiences feed her understanding of social issues in Canada and keep her running about the country.
She currently teaches in the School of Social Work at the University of Ottawa. She is also a registered social worker in both B.C. and Quebec and has a private practice in the place she calls home, in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal.
