Kevin Walby

Kevin Walby is a criminal justice professor at the University of Winnipeg.

He is the former Chancellor’s Research Chair and associate professor of criminal justice at the University of Winnipeg.

He is co-author with R. Lippert of Municipal Corporate Security in International Context (Routledge, 2015). He has co-edited Policing Cities: Urban Securitization and Regulation in a 21st Century World (Routledge, 2013) and Corporate Security in the 21st Century: Theory and Practice in International Perspective (Palgrave, 2014).

He is co-editor of Access to Information and Social Justice with J. Brownlee (ARP Books, 2015); National Security, Surveillance, and Terror: Canada and Australia in Comparative Perspective with R.K. Lippert, I. Warren and D. Palmer (Palgrave, 2017); The Palgrave Handbook of Prison Tourism with J. Wilson, S. Hodgkinson and J. Piché (Palgrave, 2017); and Corporatizing Canada: Making Business Out of Public Service with J. Brownlee and C. Hurl (BTL Press, 2018).
