Kendall Fraser (she/they) is from Treaty 7 territory, but currently lives on the unceded lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, including the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. They are a MA student in the social dimensions of health program at the University of Victoria, where they work on a community-based research project entitled “Solutions of Health and Housing for Older Women.”
Their research interests focus on the effects of stigma and social isolation on the health of those who have experienced homelessness. They are passionate about amplifying marginalized voices to advocate for needed social change. In learning about social issues from a variety of people and disciplines, their writing consolidates information to weave together a holistic account of the factors contributing to injustices in our society such as homelessness.
