Alexandra Ages resides on Treaty 6 territory, in Edmonton, Alberta, though was born and raised on unceded territories of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, in Victoria, B.C.
She received a BA in history and applied ethics from the University of Victoria, followed by a master of public policy from McGill’s Max Bell School of Public Policy.
Deeply passionate about combating gender-based violence, Alexandra combines lived experience and policy expertise to support ongoing advocacy efforts.
She volunteers as a board member with the Ending Violence Association of Canada, and has previously worked on extensive campaigns against sexual violence at Alberta’s universities.
She writes regularly on issues relating to gender-based violence within a Canadian and Albertan context.
