My sister and I got into a fight (as usual). She was telling me things like; "you're adopted," "you're ugly," and "you're a brat." I thought my sister was the coolest, so I went into my room, cried, and wrote a poem.
I'm crying in my room and nobody cares
with a pain inside of me that I can't even bare
I'm that brat girl that cries every day
but this time it's not to get my way
I'm a burden and wish I was never born
instead be a goose with a loud blowing horn
who could fly away and be left in silence

I was a good student in the ninth grade and as a consequence ended up doing all the hard math and science courses in High School. Of course at that point I had already decided that I really didn't want a career in any of the sciences, but for some stupid reason (or rather a parental reason) I took honours math and science with the kids from the computer club, the chess club, the math club, and the pi memorising club (yes that's right pi memorising as in ð = 3.141…whatever on to infinity). Needless to say my math and science marks were not ideal and I was in the normal courses with the normal kids by grade eleven.
Ack!
I am sick of school
But I have to go
I want to be me
Not a scientist
Not a mathematician
So why do I
Do advanced science-math
Do they think we're
Machines that don't have
Lives. Do they think
We're having fun
Ahhh well fuck
That...It's
Shit...
Got to keep going
Got to keep going
Got to keep going...
That Sucks! ![]()
