My Canada has been better without hockey; less drunks driving like idiots cellabrating a win, I bet the economy is even doing better in most cities with hockey because people have more money in their pockets to spend on other things. You are all jokes! Once hockey is back, it will become a fad again, and the masses will return. Sure they are overpaid, but any good sport has atheletes who are overpaid. I believe that some of you people are correct re NHL Hockey Players being very spoiled with out of control contracts. Hockey is Canada's sport and always will be no matter how long this Lockout lasts. Now as far as more money in peoples pockets lets be real what does it cost to watch CBC besides snacks and drinks. Hockey will never return like it had been in years past...those who say it will return with a vengance, know nothing about hockey in the states....It's not a the top of american viewers preferences, nor will it ever be...Places like Florida, California, Arizona, and the list continues, will never have the fan base they used to...
Hockey will return to Canada, but not in the present form...
