Lorne Mayencourt is proof the Liberals can find a job for anyone. As a gay man from the largest gay populated riding in the province he chaired a task force on school bullying. His final report doesn't even mention homophobia in our school system. Reports and study's suggest that 30% of homeless youth are gay and he wants to throw them in jail for asking for change or washing a windshield. He supported and endorsed Mary Polak in the Surrey By-election, a woman that has made her political career out of ensuring gay kids don't get the support the deserve, likely forcing some of them onto the streets in search of support they can not find in school. Now how is that for Safe Streets. If Lorne gets in again, we are as stupid as the Americans supporting George Bush.

least i rant, poor gordo doesn't have a conception beyond how to satisfy voters ,give em what they want ,especially those most likely to donate. The campbellites want the voting blocks of seniors,[watch for more horrid lawn'order headlines] property owners, includes seniors natch, and low income people do not normally vote nor do the young.Panhandlers laugh if you mention voting. Oh perhaps the block of landlords and ancillary staff might represent a block. Also businesses may influence employees to vote as if their pay depends on it. no matter how subtle the wealthier groups there will be influence on the dependents. Don't vote ,don't have a an effect?

Lorne Mayencourt is a hipocrit. He is truly not young emough to not experience gay bashing (as if it really is ok by the right) and that is where he is a hipocrit by not acknowledging his own coming out and relating it to those poor dumb disenfrangized ducks cleaning windows. Shame on him!

Hey Paul Myers, how about a depiction of Gordo as the Dark Lord and Mayencourt as Gollum. I think that Mayencourt does have some resemblance and he is a vile disgusting creature.

The solution is not to continue to allow kids to work as window cleaners on the streets, but to provide them the support and counselling necessary for them to take their place in the real world. The worst thing any government could do would be to support the idea that living on the streets coercing money from other people is acceptable.

Nathen my dear this govt is supporting by omission of it's action the growth of acceptability of street living,is it really a bad thing? some day people will realize that when dignitaries are visting it is a given that unsavoury looking folk will be swept off streets or encouraged to not appear as it is the case in big cities everywhere just ask citizens driven out of town in buses when WTO comes to its city.[Check toronto's 1988 wto summit meeting] The unsavoury people in canada's society are not on the street but in offices, supporting the bourgeois system. The real revolution started elimnating compassion decades ago.The so called elites and their sycophants chant to end unions and divide and conquer. Just witness the drone like purchasing power of toyota's by canadians, sending billions literally to create jobs elsewhere. No wonder our own citizens have difficulty. Engendering envy is a unlauded power, but is prevasive and enduring in subtle and horrific ways. Deep trauma has occurred in canada to many that do not conform or are plain ostracized. This excluding action is a trait of euro based society that we are a party to. It will continue unabated forever of course human nature is not to share at least thats how it appears to me. thank you for this space to say so TYEE

Certainly, Mayencourt tried to be neglectfully objective for his purpose. Don't offend Gordo and his mean spirited cronies and their rewards, via the public purse, will become available. The "major" provincial newspapers anticiapted this a long time ago. Who needsintegrity when fleeting rewards await you for selling your principles or your soul.
