Win tickets to a special evening with Naomi Klein

Award-winning author Naomi Klein discusses her book This Changes Everything, which tackles the most profound threat humanity has ever faced: the war our economic model is waging against life on earth.

Once a decade, Naomi Klein writes a book that tackles the big issue of the era. No Logo redefined the conversation around globalization. Shock Doctrine was the book for the austerity era. This Changes Everything is that book for our current stormy context. Klein exposes the myths that are clouding the climate debate -- chief among them the inconvenient truth that it's not carbon but capitalism that drives and derails the issue of climate change.

On Friday March 11, SFU's Vancouver Speaker Series hosts a special evening with Naomi Klein at the Vogue Theatre. Her book will be sold onsite, and she will be available to sign copies after the show.

Please also note that following a short intermission after the close of the speaking presentations, we will be screening This Changes Everything, the movie. This is free for ticket holders.

Directed by Avi Lewis, and inspired by Naomi Klein's international non-fiction bestseller, the film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana's Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond.
