What Environmental Impacts Are Most Concerning to You This Summer?

Warmer weather is finally starting to arrive for most of B.C.

After an unseasonably cold spring, for many people it’s been a long time coming. But with the hotter weather comes looming concerns about the environmental impacts from climate change.

The summer heat dome of 2021 broke records across the province, resulting in devastating wildfires, including the one that ravaged Lytton. The atmospheric river that poured into the Lower Mainland in November left the Fraser Valley underwater, killing farm animals, displacing inhabitants, and destroying homes and infrastructure.

With all this fresh in our memories, it’s hard not to feel the implications associated with periods of hot, sunny skies. With this in mind, we want to ask:

What environmental impacts are most concerning to you and your community this summer?
