Tyee Poll: Do You Support the Full Subway Extension to UBC?

Vancouver city council just voted to endorse a full extension of the Broadway subway line all the way to the University of British Columbia.

All told, extending the Millennium line from VCC Clark Station to Arbutus Street and then to UBC would cost $7 billion.

Tyee contributor Patrick Condon argues that’s too expensive and that the full extension will drive up unaffordable condos in Vancouver.

Others have argued the subway extension is a long time coming, is needed, and that we should just get on with it.

It’s now up to the TransLink Mayor’s Council to make a final decision.

What do you think? Time to fully extend the subway to UBC?
