Tyee Poll: How Much Social Distancing Are You Practicing?

As new cases of COVID-19 are announced every day and the global death toll continues to rise, health authorities are recommending that individuals wash their hands thoroughly and often, avoid touching their face and, perhaps most importantly, restrict close contact with the general population — a practice known as social distancing — in order to limit the spread of the virus.

In a Monday briefing, B.C.’s provincial Health Officer Bonnie Henry stressed that now is a critical time to take action as there is still time to slow the spread of the virus.

“If we’re all doing what we need to do with social distancing and self-isolation… we can flatten that curve and we can manage.”

We were wondering what you’re doing to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus at this time. How much social distancing are you currently practicing?
