Tyee Poll: Pages or Screens? What Do You Read Books On?

Our columnist Shannon Rupp has taken up amateur bibliotherapy. "Name your ailment and I'll advise you on what to read in order to wrestle with it," she wrote recently in The Tyee.

It doesn't matter whether your ailment is overwork or depression brought on by events like Brexit. Bibliotherapists always know the book that will make you happier, healthier or more social.

But there's something we're wondering at The Tyee: what do you read books on?

There's nothing like the smell and feel of a physical book, and research proves our brains do better retaining information on a page rather than a screen.

But others might argue that lugging around a single book is an annoyance when they can lug an entire library on a device. Also, modern public libraries allow readers to conveniently "borrow" ebooks directly on whatever gadget they're using.
