It's July, and hopefully you're getting ready to enjoy a few summer plans. It's a time for many businesses -- even newsrooms, if they're lucky -- to reflect and reset.

For news hounds still following headlines and glued to their Twitter feeds, this can mean thinner daily papers and coverage of happier things under the sun, rather than updates from air conditioned government buildings.
