Tyee Poll: If Amended, What Should Happen to Bill C-51?

The federal government's proposed anti-terrorism bill has raised hackles across political stripes. Opponents say the legislation lacks oversight, gives too much power to CSIS and could lump First Nations and environmental protesters in with terrorists.

Late last week, government sources told CBC new amendments to the bill may narrow the definition of terrorism to exclude acts of peaceful civil disobedience, and make clear CSIS does not have the power to arrest. Concerns will be addressed during a clause-by-clause review Tuesday, March 31.
