Tyee Poll: How Has the Media Handled the Ghomeshi Scandal So Far?

Last Sunday, Canada's public broadcaster announced it would end its professional relationship with Q host Jian Ghomeshi. Hours later, Ghomeshi announced a lawsuit seeking $55 million in damages, claiming he was fired for his taste in consensual BDSM sex.

The Toronto Star was the first to jump in, interviewing three anonymous women who alleged Ghomeshi attacked them without consent. A total of nine women have since come forward describing non-consensual assault, including Canadian actress Lucy DeCoutere.

The Tyee sought the voice of professional BDSM educator Andrea Zanin, who wrote that Jian's kinkster defence doesn't stack up against the first four women's allegations. One week and several hundred stories later, we're wondering what you think of the media's ethics in covering the abuse allegations.
