If you love your city, you might tell your friends to visit, you might write into a magazine or join a booster club. If you really love your city, you might paint your face for parades, or start a blog praising its many virtues. If you're a young man named Yutaka, and don't we all wish we were, you will create a wonderfully beautiful flash site dedicated to your favourite metropolis.

Yutaka Loves London features a scrolling image menu of London's more recognizable landmarks; clicking on any of them takes you to Yutaka's own "non-touristy" choices. You can add any of the suggestions to a "To-Do List," and if you click on the plane passing overhead, you're redirected to the Virgin Atlantic site for tickets. (The cynical part of me wonders if this isn't just a viral add for Virgin. The wide-eyed child of wonder likes to think it's not). The sounds of distant jazz and bustling city streets accompany your experience.

Yutaka's choices probably won't shift the paradigm of London in your head. (You do have a paradigm in your head, don't you?) The categories are traditional: pubs, clubs, souvenirs and art galleries. His choices are probably a little more eclectic than your average Fodder's, and, in any event, the sites real selling point is its attention to detail and verve in execution.

Yutaka's Projects, a sister site, lets you lower and raise London Bridge and change the time on Big Ben--at least in the online world. (At the time of this writing the projects seem to be offline).

One word of warning: if you use a Mac and Firefox -- and if you don't, I weep for you -- both sites will resize your browser window. Yutaka, it seems, is a bit of a dictator.
