Leave your car parked, hop on your bike, and pedal to work: it's Bike to Work Week!

Bike to Work Week is an initiative from HUB: Your Cycling Connection that seeks to "increase health, sustainability and liveability of Metro Vancouver through active transportation and team building."

Launched in 2007, Bike to Work Week features commuter stations across the city offering bike tuneups, free snacks and beverages, maps and information. In 2011, according to organizers, participants saved more than 72 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions by cycling over 348,000 kilometres.

To help put you in a cycling mood, here are 14 images from Your BC: The Tyee's Photo Pool; a Flickr space where members of The Tyee community post their digital photos.
