Angus Reid Strategies released results of a new poll suggesting that nationwide support for the Green Party has overtaken that for the Bloc Québécois.
When asked how they intended to vote: Conservatives claimed 39 per cent of the voters polled, Liberals 23 per cent, New Democrats 18 per cent, Green party 10 per cent and the Bloc 9 per cent.
The Reid Strategies poll, results of which were released Saturday, also found Stéphane Dion to be the only national leader with an approval rating below the 20 per cent mark. Stephen Harper’s approval rating had fallen to 36 per cent, and Jack Layton to 29 per cent.
Last week's big winner appeared to be Elizabeth May, whose approval rating soared to 25 per cent, up 7 points from the week before, according to the Reid Strategies poll.

Check out Dennis Pilons comments on polls!
So who was Angus Reid paid by? What were the questions? In what order were they asked?

The Toronto Star's take on the same Angus Reid poll is much more positive for the NDP

It amazes me so many seem to
It amazes me so many seem to forget this is the man that wanted Klein to back out of health care and the CPP and put a firewall around Alberta. Yet they will cast their vote in saying he is the best man to lead this country.
God help us.

Polls - bah humbug
Never mind the breakdowns, within 3% nineteen times out of twenty.
The real story is is that Harper at best is mustering 39% support.
Obversely, 61% do not support him.
And he has a chance of winning a majority!!!!

polls aren't seats
- and last time the Block, with about 10% of the vote, got around 50 seats, while it is highly unlikely the Greens will get any this time with 10% spread all across the country. If people cared about democracy, they would be talking seriously to politicians about this, and nobody who did not guarantee to implement some useful form of PR would get any votes. I cannot understand why more people do not undestand this.

The real story
Quote-
"The real story is is that Harper at best is mustering 39% support.
Obversely, 61% do not support him."
Finish it off Griff. Using your own logic that means:
77% do not support Dion
82% do not support Layton
90% do not support May
Thats the real story

More Wonky Numbers...
And Angus Reid Strategies BC sub-sample:
Conservatives: 36%
Greens: 26%
The Greens in second place in BC. Imagine that!
Again, another cautionary note on provincial sub-samples and their wonkiness.
At least it provided me with some Sunday morning humour. :)

It's time for those who want to dump Harper - ant that amounts to 61% happy - to start talking about how to do that.
She was on X-country check up today and she sounded to me like Sweater-vest Steve's worst nightmare.
Check out those vote swapping sites - the country can't afford four years of pee wee Rambo.
If you think things are getting better under this turkey, you should look at what is going on south of the border today: NewYorkTimes.com
We're in for a world of hurt.
