NDP leadership debate on environment to be streamed live Saturday, April 2

The B.C. New Democrat leadership debates are being streamed live and then archived on the NDP’s web site. The contenders debated education in Surrey on March 20 and justice issues in Kelowna on March 21. Those debates can be found here under the Multimedia headline.

Next up, this Saturday at 1 p.m., the leadership hopefuls lay out their positions on environmental sustainability. You can watch the debate here.

The NDP also has made it possible for citizens to submit questions online here.

Tyee legislative reporter Andrew MacLeod’s has written that eco-activists monitoring the NDP leadership race are concluding the party's commitment to environmental issues is stronger than in the past, at the same time the Liberal leaders generally stepped away from green issues. That article is here.
