The Hook: Political news, freshly caught

No support for Clark's family agenda on Liberal MLA's survey

Families first may be BC Liberal leader and premier designate Christy Clark's top priority, but respondents to a survey on a Liberal MLA's website disagree with that agenda.

Comox Valley MLA Don McRae's question of the week is, "What should be the #1 priority for our new Premier-Designate Christy Clark?"

Out of seven choices, "families" was last as of 5:45 p.m. on March 10.

Leading the way was "balancing the budget" with 37.14 percent support, followed by health care (17.14 percent), education (14.29 percent), other (14.29 percent), environment (8.57 percent) and lowering taxes (8.57 percent).

The "families" choice had received the support of zero percent of respondents.

McRae, who is the target of a recall campaign, supported George Abbott's campaign to become Liberal leader.
