The British Columbia New Democratic Party has postponed an emergency caucus meeting scheduled for Vancouver this afternoon.
“Time is being given for private discussions to ensure that the clear direction set by our leader and our party is followed: to unite and offer British Columbians a positive progressive alternative in the next election," said an emailed statement from caucus chair Kathy Corrigan.
The statement was sent out at 2:08 p.m., less than two hours before the scheduled 4 p.m. meeting.
NDP leader Carole James announced the meeting on Dec. 2 to “hold accountable” the 13 NDP MLAs who disagree with her leadership after Vancouver-Mount Pleasant MLA Jenny Kwan released a blistering statement criticizing James.
