The Hook: Political news, freshly caught

Pester your BC election 2013 candidates with Tyee's searchable list

If you've been following The Tyee's election coverage, you may have had a chance to poke around our BC Election Map and Guide, a riding-by-riding resource for election fact facts and candidate info.

This week we pulled all that candidate-specific info into a BC Election 2013 candidates page.

Check it out here.

The page shows some quick stats on all of the candidates at the top, and is highly searchable. Organize it by riding, candidate name, political parties, and more. You'll find links to their emails, social media accounts, and other details as collected by our reporting team.

As of now, we've listed more than 300 candidates and counting.

Why do this? A big part of making your voting decision is by engaging the people who want to represent you on the issues that matter to you. We hope this resource makes it a little easier to hold their feet to the fire.

While we update this list as often as possible it's not always instantaneous, as candidates change Twitter handles, websites and emails. You can help us out by sending any corrections or updates to the list here.

A quick shout-out to The Tyee's resident nerd Phillip Smith for pulling it together.
